GestureCraft Support
Email support@gesturecraft.app with your Mac model, macOS version, what input you performed, the app you were using, and what you expected to happen.
Compatibility
Here's what GestureCraft runs on.
- Supported macOS
- macOS 26 or later. Support for macOS 14 and 15 is under consideration for a future update.
- Supported Macs
- Apple silicon Macs with built-in trackpads or Apple Magic Trackpad hardware are the initial target.
- Gaming or multi-button mice
- Yes, through your mouse's own software. Map a spare button to an unused key such as F13 and save it to the mouse's onboard memory (Corsair iCUE, Logitech G HUB, and similar apps do this), then add a matching Keyboard rule in GestureCraft. Because the mapping lives on the mouse, nothing extra runs in the background and idle CPU stays near zero. Right-click rules also work directly.
- Distribution
- GestureCraft is notarized for direct download and is not a Mac App Store app because it reads raw trackpad data through Apple's private MultitouchSupport framework.
- Permissions
- Accessibility is needed to run actions. Input Monitoring is needed only when keyboard or mouse-button rules are enabled.
Known Issues
Current limitations, described plainly. None of them are hidden paid-release restrictions.
- Curved gestures are unavailable
- Imported circle and half-circle rules are shown as unavailable and do not run until real trackpad data supports a reliable recognizer.
Reporting Problems
Diagnostics are local and user-reviewed.
- Export Diagnostics
- Use GestureCraft's Support menu to export diagnostics, review the text file, then attach it only if it is relevant. URLs, file paths, and shell script bodies are redacted.
- What to include
- Include the input, the active app, the expected action, whether Test Mode was on, and whether Accessibility or Input Monitoring had recently changed.
Uninstall Or Reset
GestureCraft stores rules locally and does not require an account.
- Reset rules
- Open Rules, choose More, then Reset Defaults. GestureCraft keeps a one-shot Undo immediately after reset.
- Remove the app
- Quit GestureCraft, remove GestureCraft.app from Applications, and remove GestureCraft from Accessibility and Input Monitoring in System Settings if you granted those permissions.
- Launch at Login
- Turn off Launch at Login from the GestureCraft menu before deleting the app if it is enabled.
